The Company

Established, respected privately owned warehouse and distribution company providing UK and European palletised freight distribution and worldwide air freight and cargo services with established network partners and major pallet network
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager to work in Customer Services, to give customers the best service possible and manage customer requirements in an effective and efficient manner to achieve performance and service level targets, meeting customer expectations and resolution of queries and complaints.
Logging details into the IT system to ensure the database is up to date at all times.

Key Duties and Accountabilities
First point of contact for all incoming queries via phone call and E-mail
Recording and inputting information into the service failure log
Generate bespoke customer KPI reports in line with customer expectations for Corporate Accounts
Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for Customers
Processing all customer returns
Customer Manifests
Ensure the highest level of quality of service is provided to both internal and external stakeholders
Complete other necessary administration tasks

      The candidate

Ideally, a minimum of three years’ experience in a transport / haulage company
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
Excellent telephone manner
Knowledge of the UK logistics industry
IT literate
Organised ability to work under pressure
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Highly organised, strong and influential communicator.
Knowledge of UK logistics.
Possess a natural ability and desire for problem solving.
Excellent time management.
Have a high level of literacy and numeracy.
A team player.
Experience in the logistics industry is preferred for this position along with a friendly personality as the main focus for this role is building and retaining strong relationships with existing and new customers

Hours of work

Monday – Friday

8am – 6pm OR 9am – 7pm
